KCD and Warhouse feels like a dev studio who's desprately trying to get noticed by CDPR and trying to cash in on the same audience who love The Witcher. It awkwardly integrates some elements from TES games that don't mix with how narratively driven KCD is.
If you're playing it for anything more than a narrative experience, you're not going to have a good time.

Wait, so, if they're Atheists, and the main director, Vavra, is a Jew... Why'd they focus on making a game set in a time period where Christianity was hyper prevalent and should be a thing that is treated with care and research to have it properly weave in with the world and feel realistic?

I've seen some clips of it but the instant thing I've noticed is that they don't actually know anything about Christianity baring surface level knowledge, which, most is based around Catholicism, and they just seem to be using the whole game / story as a way to shit on Catholicism specifically and that's it. They don't seem to actually understand theology or anything else in further depth, and I'd be surprised if they even know what the Trinity is about.

Just why do this when you already know it's not something you would enjoy long term since you know nothing about the subject you're going to try and write about and criticize?

I thought it was okay. The combat was meh. I don't expect a game to ever capture the feel of real martial arts unless it's a UFC game, which do pretty well. The best you can do is make it fun, and Bushido blade 2 is still the most fun I've ever had with a weapons based martial arts game.

They said it was a long and painful process and it lasted for at least 300 years until most of it was converted because people resisted a lot. This was probably true for most of that region. Also, you had instances of Crusaders killing other Christians in a bunch of cases. Cathars in France were absolutely slaughtered by Catholics. Crusaders went even against Russia at one point during Baltic Crusades.
