i feel like the real reason why i no longer enjoy gaming is because i have lost the ability to fully immerse myself into a game
when i was younger whenever i played a game the world around me would stop existing and i was fully invested into it
now this no longer happens, i will play a game for like 20 mins and then get bored

I think the real problem is since you're more mature you cant stand the shit you were into as a kid. The poor plot, dialogue, game design, kid you would look past that because you didnt understand it. But adult you despises it

When you were a kid your dopamine stimuli was heightened than it is now, nothing will feel the same anymore
It might feel reminiscent, but not the same as back then. Just cope with it and move on.

As you became adult the internet caused you an ADHD like symptoms. This is perfectly common thing and academics have complained about it before when they realize they've lost their patience to go through books. Stop 5-minute-gratification seeking and it starts to get better.

And this and drugs also work unfortunately.
But getting your mind in order instead is the actual non-regret causing decision there is.

you are retarded
become intelligent enough to appreciate actually impressive game development and then get high as shit
I've spent hours just wandering around in Xenoblade X being impressed by things like the glowing texture that pulses and flows a certain direction on the underside of giant mushrooms in the forest area

Like, most of them, but I guess low doses of psychedelics are the least harmful, followed by weed, followed by speed, followed by milder opioids, followed by meth, in order to the most harmful.

Maybe you have shit you ned to do IRL and youre procrastinating by gaming?

Anyway, getting some xreal glasses and playing games in geometric 3d with geo-11 made gaming a whole lot more immersive for me

Now you understand why boomers like arcade games and why monster hunter was so popular also why making you sit through long ass cutscenes was such a dumb idea.

its not you, new games genuinely suck you can STILL do this but
1) you must take a break from gaming it cannot be everyday
2) the game must be fun

>millennial normies and some online zoomers who just parrot the millennial normies, say that I am just getting older
then why are old classic games still fun for me? even ones I am only now just playing for the first time so you cannot say nostalgia.
