There was a girl in my class going from Kindergarten all the way through the end of eighth grade that it seems like the school was always trying to pair with me. Every formal dance, every seating chart, every play, they wanted to pair up boys with girls and she's who I got paired with basically every single time.
We ended up becoming something similar to childhood friends and she's the only girl I've ever been able to interact with like any of the guys. We fell out of contact after we graduated middle school, that was probably the only chance I will have ever had for romance.
