The movie design just has a broader chest and thicker, more noticeably tapered limbs, just like Sonic's movie design.
Which is good, and better than Boom's attempt which was to simply stick Knuckles' head on a generic strongman body. Honestly the proportions for both Sonic and Knuckles' movie designs are much better than the game models.
