The way I see it you have four options to get over vidya fatigue:
>EasyBake games into your daily schedule instead of playing them whenever you're bored. If you know that around a certain time you'll be gaming, you can work the rest of your day around that so it makes that slot more worthwhile.
>MediumStop consuming content related to videogames unless necessary. Discussion forums, Youtube videos, Twitch streams and even industry news all color your perception of this hobby and take attention away from actually engaging in it. This is arguably more addictive than gaming itself nowadays.
>HardLook around your personal life and assess your immediate surroundings to finish things you've been putting off. Clean your floors, alphabetize your shelves, write a new draft of that story, catch up with that old friend. It varies from person to person, but if you think of clearing all these small tasks as taking invisible weights off your shoulders, you can knock out in a short span.
>LunaticDo a dopamine fast, ideally with an actual fast for good measure. This will involve heavy meditation and self-reflection and may even drive you insane, but if done correctly it's like doing a soft reboot of your mind and can even allow you to improve at challenging vidya.
