I wouldn't go to the past, but assuming I was forced to travel back, I would go back to when I was a teenager playing Warcraft 3.

The only reason I'd go back to the past is if I could use it to win the lottery. There's no other reason to go back.

Djinn wish expert here. No knowledge of the the past means all of your memory prior to whatever age you decided to land on is erased. No influence outside of the timeline means all choices the child you makes would be the same. The person who made that Faustian bargain wouldn't exist up until the very point at which they make the wish again. Actually you'd be trapping all of existence into an inescapable time loop just for nostalgia you couldn't even appreciate anymore.

Upon rereading the OP the DMD mode would lead to the extinction of free will from all of existence due to the time loop and Just having Nightmare mode would put your 8 year old brain into the body of your 40 yr old self and you'd be either homeless or in an asylum with no access to vidya, but at least there's no time loop.
