"Pauline" is actual Pauline, not a "jr" of Pauline as we know her

2. New Donk City is already around.

Aged down Pauline(with partial Amnesia) or a different Pauline(daughter, niece?) seem way more plausible than prequel.

I kinda like the theory of dk jr being dk III and we've never actually seen cranky kongs son. then you just need to make it so cranky kidnapped lady instead of pauline and most weird plot holes kinda work out.

My major theory is that this was a Bowser DLC for Mario Odyssey before it became a DK game.

They dont care much about canon, but if you must know, its a reboot. Odyssey Pauline sees she had a traumatic experience being captured by an ape, that "ape" will be Void Kong, so even if K rool is the bad guy behind all, Pauline wasnt part of his plan, she ended up there because of VoidCo

I was playing tropical freeze this week and it made me sad we're not getting an amazing sequel to it and instead are getting this dumb fucking donkey kong game that looks really generic and won't even be half as good. Tropical freeze is so good
