As someone who has been dabbling with femboys in the past, it's usually untreated mental illnesses or /pol/-pets. Sometimes both. Attention starved boys who are more horny than rational. If they would be in LGBT-groups or just be themselves, they would blend in. But if they are in "alt-right /pol/ groups", they have repressed homos/bisexuals lusting after them and calling them cute and giving them validation. Saying that they are the "right kind of gays". Usually kinda like tripfags of the gay people.
Being a "femboy" by itself isn't wrong or such, but the problem is that it usually ends up sliding towards horny/fetish stuff. Seen femboys who are hard right-wing but also into blacked. It's kinda funny.
Usually "the normal femboys" just have more feminine looks, likes wearing girly clothes, and that's that. I know IRL few due to shared hobbies and it was almost strange. Had to ask him in private if he was holding back or trying to "act normal" in fear of being judged and he was like "lol wat? xD". Learned a lot from him(and he said he sadly knew quite many femboys who were the kind I knew from earlier).
When you spend lots of time on internet(especially anything with terminally online Discord/4chan groups/people), healthy well-adjusted people starts looking strange.
