A lot of the fun in game imo comes from the sensation coming off a dual sense controller. Watching the game can make it feel like the game looks floaty and weightless but when you actually play it, nothing compares to the fucking rumble on your controller as you use beta skills on an enemy or your controller making that sheen clang clang noise as you parry hits. I don't think even sekiro's parries felt this satisfying. It's one of the things Sony did good for a game like this.

I got a dualsense like a month ago. The only things I've tried that support its features are FFVII Rebirth and Stellar's demo. I thought it was going to be super gimmicky, but I've really enjoyed using it. I never expected to be impressed by a controller's haptics. Maybe it is just the satisfaction of feeling it rumble as you impale an enemy that makes it feel good to play. I think it would also rumble slightly as you walked around in the rain.

Hot girls aside, it's a great game with fun mechanics for different play styles. It's not extremely diverse but it's better than the majority of titles in its genre. It's just a rhythm game, like a lot of these soulslikes are. "Gitting gud" is mostly about just getting used to reading the dance input gauge which is shaped like a monster and doing the correct moves. You can be technical about it but honestly as long as you do the correct dance moves you can just button mash any kind of combo to beat every fight. I didn't even bother with the Beta skill supermove shit, just dodge and parry when the gauge tells you and mash X otherwise. Yeah, it's pretty boring and barebones. But I like the environment design so I'm just in it for the scenery.
