Yeah, and here's another reason why the decision's baffling. Knockout Tour already exists and utilizes the Intermission tracks in a way that makes sense. If people want to use those tracks, there's a whole mode dedicated to it, but if they just want to do regular races on closed tracks they don't have any options.

Sounds like a fucking half measure. There should be the option for short, medium and long races where it mixes, x laps on y courses connected by z intermissions. I honestly thought this was the whole point of the "world" thing to give the people more variety
