I hate anime graphics so much how hard is it for these people to use a modern engine and make the game not look like shit. Square enix platinum capcom all do it flawlessly but then you have shit like this and atlus games who still look like early 2000s animeslop I genuinely don't get it. Yes it looks indefinitely better than anything made by atlus any trails any digimon game I want good looking games. People who hate realism are just contrarians. Multiple Japanese studios have nailed a good mix between anime aesthetic and realism as I stated all modern final fantasy games RE remakes modern Monhun all hit the sweetspot for graphics that isn't western garbage but also isn't these shitty looking 3d cartoons with 2d faces pasted on that switch between png expressions. It looks fucking awful.

They're trying to make Digimon into a persona. Yeah, tamers and Hosoda give that feeling to the series. But it doesn't work. They should just take the OG World games and work on it

ABI only really starts mattering for final evolutions. Eventually, you'll have to de-digivolve at least once to get some ABI for the lower tier (not necessarily talking about their actual strength, just how the game judges them), then a bunch more if you want the real fancy ones (demon lords, etc.).
I wouldn't really start with a big de-digivolution orgy until you have enough party capacity to have three digimon at ultimate level and three at the champion level so you can have a strong backup team and don't get locked in the story after de-digivolving your main team.

I mean, it's free exp and stats. There's no point in not having it filled with any digimon that won't fit in your team, and be sure to use the free meat that keeps accumulating over time so you can push the CAM of the digimon who aren't in your team and gainign CAM naturally. Just don't stress out over optimizing it until you're a good way into the game.
