I have always felt like MuvLuv is one of the few (really, really few) franchises that does the humans vs. X war or Earth invasion right.

There are cases where when asking for direct signs to be given, He gave them, but it's not always the norm. You got to Him, you let our your worries and you ask, but ultimately you trust and allow Him to make it work the way He knows would best work for you specifically, by showing you something that would specifically best appeal to you. But you need to keep yourself open to that possibility, that He might try to talk to you or show Himself in some way you might not normally expect or directly want.

It's hard to stick with it or even believe at times when you don't feel like you're getting what you want or need, but ultimately, you should still do your best to live in faith and trust He'll eventually come through to you.

If you want to go with years then instead of days, I can give an example of that as well. After Moses got His people out of Egypt, they lived in Exodus for 40 years straight before finally arriving at the "Promised Land" and getting to settle down. This was pretty much considered a period of purification and testing of the people's faith, because, prior to this, even when they saw an apparition of God Himself, then had to wait for only 40 days to hear from Him again, they didn't not restrain themselves, and instead, ended up building some type of effigy out of gold that they worshipped as an Idol instead, so they had to be put through some type of trial so they would not have to do something like that again.

I'm not implying you might have to go through something like that as well, but it's worth considering. Sometimes, a response can come right away, other times, it takes time, but regardless of that, you should still strive to continue in your faith, even when all seems hopeless.

It's why it's said that your Body is the Temple within which your Soul and God resides in, and why you should treat it with care and respect, since it's also His dwelling. Your body itself is the Church. If you don't feel like being a member of the Church (as an institution) anymore because of things you have seen in it that you didn't like or agree with, you can still be a member of the Church (as in yourself, your body) through Christ.

The first thing you should put before all of it is to try and have a personal relationship with God to begin with. Reading the Scriptures, while helpful to actually know His character and how to better conduct yourself is helpful, isn't necessarily mandatory, same as attending Church as an institution, might be helpful to some, isn't exactly mandatory either.
