My only value for LTT is Short Circuit sometimes showcasing gadgets and controllers that are neat, but more often than not whenever they look at an interesting controller anymore I'm already aware of it or saw it weeks prior. Don't even care about their opinion on the device or gadget, I skim over their thumbnail and then look up whatever they're reviewing to see what it is if not immediately obvious.

I remember one time a company was developing some new cooling tech and they sent a prototype to LTT so they could check it out and review it with the promise of returning it.

LTT used the prototype on an unsupported card like the obvious retards they are and then proceeded to Auction OFF THE PROTOTYPE instead of returning it.

That by itself is enough to hate them but you should also note that their default behaviour was to keep it. That tells me they are default taking bribes for influence.

the biggest problem fsr has which they'll never be able to solve is developer support. games going all the way back to 2018 support dlss and you can override the overwhelming majority of them with the latest dlss tranformer model for the best image quality. fsr 4 is brand new so they're having to build an entire library from scratch while nvidia are almost a decade ahead. and not just that, devs don't give a fuck about amd anyway. just look at amd anti-lag which has been around for some years and a competitor for nvidia reflex. you can count the amount of anti lag games on one hand while there are hundreds of nvidia reflex games.

(not to mention amd was fucking with peoples game files when anti lag launched and caused people to get banned in counter strike)

It is very situational but if applied properly it just werks. A massive part of the reason why people want more FPS is because they want effects and animations and movements to look more visually fluid and less like a PowerPoint presentation. Framegen can easily achieve this effect provided that your baseline frame rate is already good enough, however the other half of wanting more FPS is wanting more responsiveness which frame gen cannot really help with, and the disconnect between visual fluidity and responsiveness can be irritating in some games. But I think this irritation is massively overstated, it is not as if you are trying to swing your fists in a dream when you are using frame gen. For example I play Darktide at the highest possible difficulty (you'd shit your pants) with framegen from 75 to 150 and I never get the feeling that my reactions or inputs are too slow. I would never use it for a game like counter strike though.

I actually just bought parts for a new build and contemplated getting a 9070 xt. in the end I went with a 5070 ti since more games support nvidia on average, and shit like dlss is still better than fsr. also because it wasn't too much more expensive.

Nvidia may be having shit drivers now, but every time I've tried AMD over the last 2 decades they had drivers with inexplicable issues. Not giving them another chance unless I switch to Linux full-time so I can use non-AMD maintained drivers.
