>literally the richest, greediest corporation on the planet
>responsible for paid online multiplayer becoming a thing
>responsible for bringing normalfags into gaming en masse via xbox live and halo
>the kinect and E3 2013 debacles
>phil spencer is a soulless corporate ghoul wearing a human's skin
>have been trying since 2018 to turn the entire gaming industry into a netflix/spotify style "software as a service" hellscape via game pass
>are aggressively pushing AI slop into all their games and doing embarrassing tech demos like that "fully AI-generated quake" that didn't even work correctly
>constantly laying off employees despite - i repeat once again - being the richest corporation on the planet
>are/were a leading figure in the push for "wokeness" and californian-style culture in video games (not everybody cares about this, but /v/ should)
>attempted to monopolize the gaming industry with the bethesda and activision purchases
Ask people to name the video game corporations they hate most and they'll point out Nintendo or Sony, or the usual names like Ubisoft, EA, or predatory mobile developers. But nobody will say Microsoft.
Nothing spelled this out more than earlier this year, when Nintendo announced $80 games and were eviscerated for weeks over it, and then Microsoft announced $80 games and didn't receive even a peep of criticism.
It's astounding to me that this company isn't the #1 public enemy for all gamers at this point.
