Honestly yeah, the lack of a proper reboot or real mechanical shake-up has made the series feel kinda stale. Security Breach tried, but it was jank city and felt like a tech demo more than a full evolution. They need to strip it back down to what made the original trilogy tense-small space, limited control, and paranoia-fueled dread-but modernized. Give us the grimy 80s/90s Chuck E. Cheese rotcore vibe again, with Freddy looking like he crawled out of a dumpster behind a haunted Denny's. That’s what the fans want. Not glamrock mall mascots doing TikTok dances.

I used to think the same, but then something clicked about Springtrap. Scott had no reason to put Afton in Bonnie, it would've made more sense from a brand standpoint to just have him inhabit Fredbear. Instead he gave him Springbonnie and left the question of Fredbear open, which I feel he only did if Henry was already a character at that time. I would love a game more grounded on the series' roots, but the problem I see is that there are so many FNaF fan games made with the initial premise, that an official game using the same or similar mechanics to the original ones could easily fail to impress the audience, although I think it could also draw attention exactly BECAUSE it went back to it's origins.

Secret of the Mimic is alright, but it really doesn't feel much like FNaF at all. Security Breach was also ok, but it's a bit too much, I'd prefer something more familiar to the series.

Purple guy is the original founder of Fredbear named William Afton. He teamed up with an animatronic and formed the modern Freddy's. He's so busy with his work that his sons (older and younger) decides to take the younger one and shove him in Fredbear's mouth and he dies. He's the boy you play in Fnaf 4. After that he goes full Jeffrey Dahmer, and starts killing kids left and right until he gets caught in Springtrap Bonnie and dies. He gets sealed in and years later when the place is opened as a spooky house, William's zombie form is released. After that I have no idea.

If you had stewardship of the FNAF series, what would you do next with what's been established? I've been on a hard FNAF media bender lately as someone who mainly sits on the sidelines of the series and it's got me thinking.

It's hard to describe, but it feels too...predictable now? Too 'connected' or tied down?

My pitch is to take a page from Doki Doki Lit Club, make a game that doesn't have the FNAF title, and make it seem more like a normal game. Then slowly bleed in the horror over time, tying the game back to FNAF. The broad strokes is that you're dealing with one antagonist, doesn't really matter what, human or anamatronic, and by the end of the game, you learn that the evil influence has spread to 3 new locations. Each subsequent game taking place at each of those locations, creating a new set of characters and lore to work with instead of filling in more and more about the Afton family and anyone they've dealt with. Maybe one takes place at an abandoned mall, or a museum, or a school campus, or an abandoned Fazbeat Corporate building, each one with a different tragedy. Just branching out beyond resturants. Obviously fill each game with random lore shit that makes no sense.

Then have a final 5th game that ties them all together, answers all the questions, and has plenty of memberberries for the original series.
