Capcom has never made and will never ever make another fighting game as good as this one. They are massive faggots for completely gimping 90% of the SNK characters, and only somewhat gimping the other 10% but I get it I guess.
I can't blame them for Roll Cancel since that was not a deliberate choice, but even if A-Groove is horseshit and S-Groove is just plain shit, the Groove system as a whole is neat.

I fail to understand that but i guess it's mostly casual players who think this, good player who play Mai clearly have the advantage in most situations (high damage, long range, high-reward-low-risk options , homing projectile, easy input super) and the characters lack of options in mix-up doesn't change anything when you can reset blockstring with a double command dash when other characters must use rapid cancel to do that.

The argument is that Jesus kick is something they have to keep in mind as they have to deal with Ragna being able to poke them out with 5B and that both 5B and 6D are tools that they can't just flip away from in pressure. This ignores the fact that Ragna is a character that relies on 2A stagger pressure with 2C pressure resets, which flip beats outright. The other thing is that Ragna's DP is really good as a defensive tool but is offset by have extremely low health that rewards Mai a lot for baiting out DPs. Because the other character has actual counter play to their tools, Mai players immediately conclude that the MU is losing despite any normal person looking at this and concluding that the MU is even.

And I know it's more a "Party fighting game" than a traditional fighter, but that's why I like it. I'm not even one of those sweaty, competitive, GameCube controller only, "For Glory" types that still infest Melee. I play with Items on. I just like instead of remembering combos and footsies, I just run, jump, and punch. It's more of a platforming game than a fighting game and I prefer playing modes like Smash Run and Subspace Emissary than online or 9.0 arcade.

The only good controllers for smash are the gcn controller and pro controller. Joy cons, wii mote and nun chucks, etc etc all kinda suck but you can play with whatever you want. Id rather fight someone gimping themselves with a silly controller than trying to use a cheat box
