The west (America in particular) did this to itself, when they rebranded animation as a kids only medium during the 80's as a way to cheaply produce mass syndication content for children they completely eroded all the cultural relevance animation had built up to that point. Cartoon have been fighting an uphill battle ever since. We will never get kino like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8agE5ImTuW4 made it and will never reach the heights of anime (which is also now experiencing its own downturn but for different reasons).

I am sad. I want a loud house game. I don't care what genre it is, I just think if Sponge can get like 50, fop can get like 10, TLH should have at least 1 given how successful it was.
