I'm not playing it because someone online pointed out the screen response time. I don't see it when playing games but I can see it in their videos. Literally ruined my experience.

Exactly how I feel. Think the issue is that a lot of these games get announced like a full year or two in advance with nothing in between until it’s months from launch, so unless you’re actively following development you wouldn’t hear about it or even remember it until it’s almost/already out
Say what you will but nintendo at least are somewhat good about it with keeping those waiting periods relatively short, often no more than a year. Smash Ultimate was revealed and released in the same year, and M&L:B only had a 4 month period between its announcement and release (and yes I know of MP4 and AC:NH, but those make up the exceptions and amounted to early teases than anything)
