I don't care about stuff like what >>713761643 said, I just think it's a little bit too open-ended. It's more like what a lot of people complain about open worlds feeling like nowadays. I spent a lot of time wandering even knowing what I was supposed to do next, but as soon as I got lost ONCE, or stopped playing for a week and came back to it and naturally forgot what I did last, or whatever I just kinda.... Stopped playing. And didn't mind. Sorry, Zelda, I just didn't care that much.
dark world was much worse than the overworld imo also.
I liked phantom hourglass the best of any zelda game I played so whatever

I just like the theme and atmosphere of these games. What the hell is wrong with that? I also brought it up because there is that fan art pic that shows how it could look like as a 2D top down game. I would love to play a game like that. Would be even better if From did it themselves.

You're making it sound like its every few steps when that just isn't true. It was true in the original and the gameboy, but not LttP. For example you can walk the entire length of Kakariko without running into a screen transition in LttP.
