You're confusing two things. Tokon could be made by anyone else and it would get the same attention. The Arcsys showcase was to show off Arcsys' works and to try to expand themselves. Despite what people think, Arcsys is still not a well known brand. The titles are. Because there is not a strong enough connection between the titles and the company. It's like how Mario is synonymous with Nintendo. And Pokemon, Zelda, Metroid, Animal Crossing. They are all "Nintendo".
Guilty Gear is "Guilty Gear". And for Arcsys to actually try to make their brand known like this is so hilariously pathetic, cheap and just deliciously ironic.
