Niers are great games but there is no depth to its combat system it’s just mash X to win. Even easier if you use the bot/book as a range weapon. The only thing even remotely challenging about Nier is how the enemy levels up with you so they are spongy and almost never just slump over. It takes time but it doesn’t take any skills. What makes Nier great is the story, characters and music. Combat is serviceable but don’t act like there is much depth

Wanted Dead on the other hand is all about progression, unlocking new moves and putting together combos on new enemy types

I bought it after the update, believing the talk that it was underrated and all that noise. It was a miserable experience, all enemies were unfun to fight, gunplay is boring, melee is lackluster, everything lacks proper feedback.
Really, i wish i could give some praise but after finishing it all i could think was how it's fans have absurdly low standards.

WD is a fun game as long as you know what to expect from it, which is a game that gives you an arcade feel hack and slash and shooting with a lot of silliness and weeb things
