The Xeno games look cool until Blade happened. Seems like the dev and writers fried their brain from drugs or some shit. The UI and combat is atrocious, and story is schizo in the least interest way. Perhaps it's what happens when they don't have something to rip off like Eva?

It feels like most NEET core games are ones with annoying learning curves and I'm too jaded to trudge through it- stuff like Factorio, Elin, Dwarf Fortress, etc. I just want shit that's easy to get into while being deep and having hundreds of hours of play time.

you can use your infinite time to browse mods for Bethesda games and make load orders that are perfect for you, instead of using some premade Wabbajack slop. you can get really into this and once you start adjusting mods to better suit your tastes, it leads to making your own, and that's a whole other rabbithole.
it might inspire you to learn something useful like 3D modeling, texturing, or coding. at the very least your friends who like these games will think you're a wizard.

I know what you mean but how would you even turn into one gradually? If you're Not in Education, Employment or Training you are a NEET. I'd also say people studying for an entrance exam or actively searching and applying for jobs aren't NEETs either.
