>Literal placeholder game pushed out because of the conflict between Aonuma's endless delays (reminder that Skyward Sword was delayed by 2 years and is barely more than 1/3 of a Zelda game and had a relatively high budget) and Nintendo wanting to sunset the Wii U early
It's good (Aonuma does tend to do better when he is whipped into re-adapting an existing work in a year or two), better than the full project even (TotK), but it's barely a Zelda game.
>But it's so much like the first Zelda
BotW and TotK share more in common with Skyward Sword than they do with the first Zelda game.

They need to make dungeons part of the game world. No more shrines and shit, it should be seamlessly integrated so the sense of exploration and adventure is even better.

Stronger CPU so they can take the interactivity and simulation even further

Technology doesn't disappear overnight. All of the rockets are still there, even though the experience and supply chains aren't. They were considering making updated versions of the F-1 rocket engine at one point.

Honestly yea
It might not be the peak of the franchise mechanically, however the vibes are immaculate and if Zelda's ultimate goal as a series is to make you feel like an advetureman exploring Hyrule then BotW is the logical endpoint.
At least until they make a version of BotW with real dungeons and no gimmick shit.
