Yea, I liked the open world areas. But more importantly, I liked how they worked with the linear sections, the drone gun only sections, the platforming and the fishing and the questing and puzzles and the bosses and everything else.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I think Stellar Blade is greater than the sum of its parts and that all of it works well together in the balance it has. There's something to the rhythm of the game's pacing or experience that seems smart to me.

So I wouldn't take anything out. I'd even be hesitant to add anything in. Maybe more optional cutscenes to flesh out characters/lore. Just improving that area of the game in general, but I'd worry about dragging down the pace of the game with too many more or longer cutscenes.

It makes me want to play it more truth be told. I even started using the A2 outfit rather 2B's due to the good ending that makes out Mother Sphere to be the real vilain rather than the Naytibas. They're just raw survival instant that is the result of humans gene editing themselves in order to survive Andro-Eidos' genocidal war against the real humans. However, as Adam/Orcal have shown (and Raven/Tachy in away), they can be rehabilitated and be made rational (and in Adam's/Orcal's case genuinely good) resembles A2's story in Nier:Automata (in a homage sort of way rather than blatant rip-off).


What kills my desire is my need to get all achievements which requires getting all endings, including the other two which I just find kinda lame just like Lily in one of them lmao. I'll probably blow through it in the same fashion that I did 9S' story and aim for both endings at once when I get into the fun but long process of doing the sidequests in NG+ (along with the boss rush stuff and even getting back into finishing Ending 9S/A2's story).

Did anyone else think the story of this game awful? Adam the idiot created an evil ai that went rogue and his "brilliant" idea to fight his own creation is to make humans retarded mutants which doomed the entire species. And the only reason the androids became a threat is because Adam created the ai that made the androids.

The whole story is unpleasant I was happy that Adam dies in all the endings because he deserved to die for damning mankind. And Eve is a shitty bitch, she finds out the truth that the ai that made her was lying to her and her android friends and she doesn't care. Eve is a soulless fuck toy, the only likable character was Raven and she was presented as a villain for her troubles. What a shit story. I doubt that the sequel will be much better.

Anyone else? The story is trash. And don't bother saying "Who cares about the story we simply masturbate!" If I'm playing a game don't give a bad story with shitty characters that I will hate. Shitty stories are a demotivation. This story is so bad it makes Cameron's Avatar look good.

Android only ending is ok with me. Stray and The Talos Principle 1 and 2 have groomed me to accept this as an acceptable outcome in stories.
Just mother sphere would need to get over herself, but it's an open ending and Eve said she didn't want to get bossed around by either side anymore in that ending.

I hope they make the platforming better in the next game. It's the aspect of the game that holds it back the most. They should also let you change the sword color or add different swords so you can coordinate them with your outfits.

She currently replaces Lily, so it would be her skeleton, but no. I replaced Lily's skeleton completely with MS, which is smaller. And retargeted all the animations (skeleton and animations are in the mod). They look good in UE editor, but not ingame. Perhaps IK goals are messing with them, or something else.

So I think she is an andro eidos from that time, just got fucked up from the collapse. But it is not clear how long this period lasted, of it even was long enough for an andro eidos society to live and develop normally.
Though even if I am wrong, she could be an andro eidos from before the rift between humans and them.

I think it can all be summarized in Raven's "All this talk of you being the chosen one" line.
Like, nobody said that at any point. And she seemingly hasn't talked to Adam recently either. So it just feels like the script was rewritten during recording several times.
The lore is cool. The actual in-scene dialogue is awful.

So I keep seeing Splash Screen Replacer mods, but what the hell is the "splash screen?" Is it just that little image of Eve's face that pops up when the game's first starting up? Because there isn't any splash art in the loading screens or anything. And if that's all it is, why would anyone care enough to replace an image that shows up for a second and a half even on my shitty PC? I fell like I have to be missing something.
