Persona 3 Reload or Metaphor? I am not a huge Persona fan I love SMT though. Drowned God is pretty neat, some good puzzles. Unless you just want it on your Steam account, the Zomb's Lair download is more stable than the new paid version on steam and epic. The one thing it could really use wasn't addressed in the re-release. Could really use captions and/or a touch up to the voice clips, they're often hard to understand. Pretty based picks though anon.

pseudoregalia is very short, more of a tech demo than anything. i was very disappointed after how many people shilled it on /v/ is the greatest platformer/metroidvania in years (it isn't either, they just like goat ass). i do not recommend it. there also is pretty much no story to speak of, if that is what you are looking for.

movement system is only fun once you unlock all abilities. there aren't really levels that challenge your use of said abilities and the game is pretty much over once you get them all. like i said, it is more of a tech demo than anything. if the dev did something with the solid base they've built, it could be excellent. but as the product currently stands, i would not recommend it.
i liked bluefire more. similar concept, 3D platformer with zelda/metroidvania elements. the DLC removes all the metroidvania elements and turns it into platforming trial levels. not the best game ever, but pretty enjoyable.
demon turf is also good but has a horrendous artstyle. has things like mario64 triple jump and you unlock abilities for faster traversal as the game goes on. its fun and worth playing (not sure about the sequel tho).
hell's pie COULD have been a good platformer, but it feels like the devs balanced even the lategame around your base character without upgrades, so you quickly surpass any challenge BUT have some cool movement abilities. definitely more fleshed out than pseudoregalia and has more content, tho.
the big catch: tacklebox is a free demo for an upcoming game that has amazing movement and feels great to play. i would recommend it, i got 15 hours out of the free demo. just don't go into big catch threads or mention the artist

anyways, the best game of all time is noita. buy that and you will have no need for anything else.

dmc 5 is a very competently made game, very enjoyable (except V sections, those suck).
rdr 2 is one of the worst and most insulting games of all time.
witcher 3 falls into a similar category to nier automata, everything about it is good except gameplay. where they differ is that automata has serviceable gameplay, witcher 3's gameplay is wannabe arkham asylum stuck in an open world RPG with all of the worst aspects that the genre might entail.
death stranding is enjoyable but slow. i recommend it, but realize it is not for everybody.

There should be a caveat when talking about Automata, they knew their combat is just okay that's why they have multiple genre changes, from 3D hack and slash, to 2.5D sidescroller, to shoot em up, etc.

Grab the royal edition for KCD. DLC isn't amazing, but 2.5 of the quests are great (avoid Theresa's path in the Woman's Lot quest, it's ass). Also bear with the combat jank. Use a bow and a mace (with the perk that can make you knock enemies out if you hit them on the head sometimes) if you don't feel like learning the swordplay.

Storywise, KCD1 is pretty much on-par if not more of the same. I liked the characters in KCD1 more, but hard to really find any major fault. KCD2 is fucking MASSIVE compared to 1 though. Just insane amount of content in that game.

KCD2 is a direct sequel to the story of 1, so you really can't play it without having played 1. Genuinely, I cannot recommend that at all, even if 2 looks better to you. They're both fine without their DLCs, but the one for KCD1 is so cheap and definitely worth 2 bucks. Also just wanna say that both are worth the FULL price. You'll easily get 100+ hours out of each game if you get into it and do the side quests.

I'm pretty new to PC gaymen and Steam in general. Does Steam usually change the prices of games often during a summer sale? I wanna pick up Rogue Trader but I get paid on the 1st.

rune factory is a fine series. it was basically the first in what is now a whole subgenre of farming sim/ARPG that has been quite popular. fields of mystria, fantasy life, my time at portia/sandrock/etc., and stardew valley to name a few. etrian odyssey is also good, dungeon crawler RPG with decent party building and QUESTAN. the need to make your own map is also interesting, makes you learn the maps a lot more and pay attention to what is going in the dungeon far more than something like strange journey that just automatically builds the maps for you (not a knock on strange journey, that is also good).
