Looking at the very start of Chapter 1 again I noticed that Asriel is going to be returning from college in explicitly "a week", so probably about four days by now. Which means there's a pretty real chance he's going to actually show up in one of the later chapters if not CH5 itself.

I'd like to speculate a bit on how that might play out.
