I ride a motorcycle and it clicked with me when I realized it's an analog experience. you gotta ease on and off the clutch and the big "gotcha" I had to figure out was keeping the RPM's up or else the engine will stall (turn off). I have to slightly rev the engine just a bit even while sitting still at a stoplight or the bike just turns off. I think it's stupid, but now that I get it, I get it and it's no problem.

Its easy as fuck. You basically press a context sensitive button down to speed up. You stay inside a set of lines. You wait at lights until they turn green. Once controlling the thing becomes muscle memory its just about avoiding other cars. The great part is the other cars want to avoid you too. The former is just you keeping on the first gear and holding the clutch to the board when you want to stand still and putting it into second gear if you're going to go further than few car lengths before you'll have to stop again
Uphill traffic with manual is a nightmare to learn and is stressful but it's also the reason why instructors put such effort into teaching it properly at least in my shithole so that you won't slide into the car behind you
