Looks like ILLGAMES (definitely not Illusion) are just about to announce a sequel to Koikatsu. Does anybody even care for a potential sequel?

I've never even played the actual game of Koikatsu, I just entered the scenes or whatever. Is the relationship building at least fun? All I'd really want out of a sequel is more granularity in personalities and voices.

Not really, it just takes time since you have a limited amount of interactions per period. Once you max everything out though there is little incentive to keep playing since relationships don't degrade over time.

shame. it's sort of ironic that the japanese are actually fucking awful at relationship building games outside of like tokimeki and loveplus and games directly inspired by them. it's actually insane that WEGs even in the flash era still have better dating sim elements on average. going on a tangent, there's so much rape in hentai games that good consensual sex (not even explicitly vanilla) is actually uncommon. i dunno, i guess when lewd shit is as freely available as air, it's actually nice to be invested in some build up for me.

Yeah they already made a sort of sequel/expansion called KK Sunshine that just changed the setting to a summer island vacation and added a couple extra content but that's about it

They already released a AA3-like game last year >>713787512, it was decent for Illusion standards but it's still pretty lacking in content. People were very hesitant about the possible modding potential because of their stupid anti-modding policies but it looks like mods are releasing at a slow but steady pace. Modders have already figured out how to mod in more rooms, positions and personalities so just like AA2 it'll just take time for them to flesh everything out

Make it better than AA3 and KK and easier to mod than AA3 and modders will probably move over.
Just have a better main plot and less fucking up of animations when you change character proportions and I'd play it. Need a better studio mode for most people though.
