Some other writers have tried to create the idea that the Predator society is matriarchal, but that doesn't fit with most other depictions.
I think a lot of people miss the idea that the Predator franchise is (or at least was until recently) a very masculine story, it's males against males, it's strength and cunning.
That's why even Prey kinda works, because Naru is actively trying to engage in the more masculine roles of her tribe by hunting, but I think that was an accident on the writer's part and not really intentional.
