Single-player games are literally the only good games left. Multiplayer has been shit for well over 15 years now:

Console:
No more MW2 lobbies
No more hacked maps and no user content AT ALL in AAA.

PC:
Almost no more user-generated content in big, AAA games, you can at least play older ones that have this.
Get banned or suspended for typing out anything, even sex jokes due to automated content filtering or faggots who don't like naughty words.
Get banned for the above but for audio now with new-new filters.
No fun, simple, dedicated community servers that would host that user-generated content or specific vibes of people/groups.


Both:
Every game has no content and is instead drip-fed which is calculated with FOMO/Login reward GAAS slop.

Flavor of the month garbage that your friends will stop playing after they finish installing it, twitch streamer bait games shitting up the store pages top played, etc.

Never? That's all I play anymore. I moved on from playing multiplayer fotm slop almost a decade ago. The last multiplayer game I played any significant amount of was Company of Heroes 2, almost 7,000 hours in that game but haven't played it in over 5 years now.

Playing Death Stranding 2 right now, pure single player. That's the only kind of games I want to play anymore.

I only lost interest with a handful of genres. Puzzle,card,fighting and shooter games all get old without a multiplayer aspect.

Stuff like RPG,horror,action adventure,strategy,platforming,life sim,mystery, it doesnt really add shit and often even over complicate their systems. A strong example with this is RPGs where very early on you will fall very far behind if you dont follow the optimal build, PvP or not. Or with Mystery,horror where youre likely gonna be constantly pulled out of the experience because you gotta communicate offscript a bunch.
