Stock is going to run out eventually. You should have got one launch weekend or the week after, it was really easy to get one then. You could just walk into stores and find one. Anyway, it's getting restocked gradually, you'll just have to keep paying attention and checking.

Yeah I was able to snag one day one no problem, but that sweet window closed fast. Now it's just scalpers and constant "check back soon" listings everywhere. Nintendo always says they’re prepared and then acts surprised when demand melts their supply chain. Still, better than the Wii launch at least-those things were mythical for like a year.

Even if nintendo knew this was going to be the most successful console launch in gaming history, how exactly are they supposed to guess how many units is enough to meet demand? No console has ever sold this much this fast, any estimation would just be a shot in the dark. Everyone who wanted one on launch day got one, they should be applauded for that honestly. I’ll never accuse them of scarcity tactics again after I was able to just walk into target three hours after they opened on launch day and purchase a switch 2 without waiting in any lines, just in and out.

I am so glad they banned amazon which I rely on almost exclusively to get vidya out here in the wilds
