There's a scene where the girls are taking a bath in a hot springs, and although the water virtually covers them from the shoulders down, the localizers thought it was still necessary to put towels on them to highlight that they weren't, in fact, naked.
When called out on their forums, the localizers lashed out and said that anyone advocating for uncensoring was a pedophile. This prompted an interjection from a now departed Xseed Localizer named Tom who defended the players and took a hard anti-censorship stance and for a short while became the voice of the anti-censorship battle.
In what I now look back at as likely a dick move by Tom's superiors, the studio who censored Fortune Summoners was eventually brought in to localize Xseed's flagship title Trails in the Sky SC. They blew it so hard that it nearly drove one of the localizers to suicide and Carpe Fulgur blew up as a result, but then a bit after that Tom from Xseed was forced out of the company after advocating for the Akiba's Trip localization to keep in a comedic KKK reference in the name of "anti-censorship", and I think he kind of faded into obscurity after that and eventually we found ourselves here, and the game industry is virtually collapsing under the weight of game censorship.
