You would have to never ever have played a single one of their games to form that opinion. Expedition 33 devs literally said they were inspired by Souls games. Expedition 33 wouldn't even exist without the Souls games, and Elden Ring is Fromsoft's only open world game. Every single other game by Fromsoft besides Elden Ring has the Open World equivalent of Orinica of time or Twilight Princess.
