Deulyst was apparently released as an open source project, so no one has to purchase it anymore. Nevertheless the European Court of Justice has ruled, that software and videogames are still goods regardless of the mediums they are distributed on, the legislation drawn up in the year 1979 simply hasn't been updated to include it...because the digital storefronts did not exist back then and until recently such a distinction was not necessary.
