I was never a Dragon's Dogms fan. I played the first one once, thought it had some neat ideas and hoped for a sequel that actually live up to the potential. Turns out the sequel was even more underbaked. So fuck this trash series and that lying hack Shitsuno.

This game finally exposed the mainstream to what a hack Shitsuno always was. Literally the Zack Snyder of videogames. I'll give it to Capcom though, they marketed the shit out of DD2 and got everyone in on shilling for it. They made their money and left everyone hanging with a half finished game, that was worse than the first one, and content that never came. Shitsuno skipped town to peddle his snake oil somewhere else, and it brought to light the fact that DMC5 was also the same. REngine slop with only stale reddit memes to keep the hardcore fans on life support till they announce a soulless remake.

I personally had a blast with both DD:DA and DD2. Two fantastic games which I come back to every now.
I hope the rumors of DD2 getting an expansion are real. Let us pray that it is.

Dragon's Dogma 2 being shit and a failure was easily one of the best gaming news of 2024 for me.
