Play the original first. The first game is arguably better anyways depending on who you ask, plus despite the time gap and different set of characters, the second game assumes you're familiar with the lore and some important story beats from the first game. Especially the A ending of the second game has plenty of callbacks to first game, many of which won't make much sense unless you've played it and gotten its important endings.

I think it can be assumed she's the player character who gets the C2 ending and helps Le'garde ascend, so she probably lived the rest of her life in obscurity.
