They updated both R1 and V3, R1 is less schizo, far better for creative writing/roleplay and is much faster with its reasoning, V3 is less retarded. Although I still prefer V3 because it's far cheaper and faster, so you can quickly swipe 2-3 responses and kitbash a good combination, as you should be doing with deepseek.

Everyone's aware that since Neuro-sama and Evil are LLMs, they're largely dependent on the tokens provided to them. Though, whatever the fuck those tokens are seem to draw both from memory and whatever Vedal himself puts into their heads, so it's more like they're given a topic to focus on for a stream or something. More often than not, they usually derail and because they find it's more entertaining to disobey Vedal. But yeah, you could also think of it as them getting lobotomized, which is also funny because then you get to watch Neuro or Evil say or do insane shit. Best examples is whenever they crash out while "screaming" and fall asleep on stream.
