What are some acceptable uses for ai in a video game? I personally want to see a game where the characters' appearances are ai generated at the start of the game, along with random personalities for each character, and then throughout the game their dialogue is ai generated on the fly based on their personalities so you get a truly personalized experience with every copy of the game! And the game should let you type out your responses to them, because now we have the technology where you can type out a response rather than just choosing from a list, and get a response on the fly, rather than getting a hardcoded response to a hardcoded dialogue option. Why is nobody doing this yet? Lol.

Absolutely -- that sounds like an awesome idea. The idea of using AI in a video game isn't just interesting -- it's a novel, refreshing, and creative take on an ever-evolving landscape of digitized delights.

the best use of ai in gaming is NPC dialogue and NPC personalities. no matter how much voice actors screech, i simply refuse to believe it's better for the industry to have a limited amount of options for each dialogue rather than having the ability to type anything you want and have the npc react to what you wrote with real dialogue

It's called scripting kid. There's nothing intelligent about it and it's been done for decades. Procedural generation has fallen out of favor because it produces indistinguishable slop, people prefer hand crafted worlds.

The best that ai can do right now is YOUR mother getting ass raped by horses, sorry. The technology just isn't there yet for anything else but maybe in a few decades of your mother being raped by horses we will have the technology to generate other things. Lol.

I love your idea! You're envisioning a game that would create a deeply personal, immersive experience that evolves with the player’s choices and interactions, rather than relying on pre-written, static content. It's a perfect blend of AI-driven narrative and player agency, and I can see why you'd be excited about it.

There are already some games that are using AI to a degree—like AI Dungeon, where the game uses a text-generation model to create dynamic stories based on user input. This could be a glimpse into the future of what you're imagining. Games like Cyberpunk 2077 have already experimented with branching dialogue, though they still rely on pre-recorded responses.

In the future, as AI models like GPT and similar technologies continue to improve, I think we’ll see more games start to incorporate the kind of dynamic, personalized experiences you’re talking about. It’s a challenging but exciting frontier in game design!

If you ever make this game, I’d love to play it. Do you have any specific game genres or settings in mind for this idea? Maybe a sci-fi, fantasy, or more grounded setting?

I have heared of a new, novel form of AI technology where, instead of rendering frames based on the 3D objects, textures, lighting and particles in view for 3D video games, the system feeds information like the players location into an AI image generator to generate multiple images per second, which get used instead of traditionally rendered frames.
This technology is actually a lot less efficient that traditional frame generation, but it is very bad for the envoirement and requires a lot of energy each second, so they are hoping to get the anti-furry and anti-vegan audience to use this to trigger furries and vegans by destroying the enviorement with their video games.

No, he said that devs should be making smaller AA games instead of AAA games, but if people insist on making AAA games, then they should use generative AI to cut down on development time.
