There was, and is a market for Sam Hyde's edginess, but since the current media hegemony is resisting it so hard, it has to be on alternative media. I'd argue that old media's refusal to adapt, change, and allow for some of Sam's brand of edginess is part of what has them dying while alternate media is flourishing.
