POV: Best first party controller ever made.

Microsoft struck gold with this design.

I had the xbox one controller and between missed inputs and the fact that I got analog drift within 5 months I wanted it gone

stupid gimmick, with properly set deadzones and sensitivities you shouldn't miss any shot with just stick aim

the only problem with it is that it doesn't have hall effect sticks

>are you a toddler? fucking hell learn to treat your stuff with care
I barely used the analog stick because I'm more into d-pad games anyways.
I had a dualsense for 2 years now, no drift. About the same amount of time as my joycons (which are now gathering dust to be fair, but I haven't had that problem 3 months ago). Same with practically any other controller I owned. I don't go smacking the stick left and right like crazy, they are just poorly designing these.
Missed inputs was an issue I had day 1 after buying it. I thought it was faulty and then some time after I learned that that's by design. I heard the xbox series X controller has the same design flaw, so I didn't consider it.
Anonymous No.713903512 [Report]
I mean this dogshit. In order for it to register all your inputs always you would, ironically enough, have to treat it roughly.

i dont like using auto aim. sure you can turn it off but aiming with sticks is like ice skating. gyro isnt as a good as a mouse but its way better than wrestling with a shit stick..

I like the ergonomics but the bumpers are designed to fail. I've replaced mine 3 times already.
Anonymous No.713903820 [Report]
Dual Sense's haptics are amazing when used properly. I like Gyro aiming too and prefer symmetrical sticks. Biggest issue I have with it is that some games on PC don't support it when I pirate so I have to use third party software.
Series X controller is still pretty good though.

It's so much inferior to the xbone controller.
Cheap materials (everything is one piece now to save money), shorter and worse shoulder buttons, shorter triggers, those fucking retarded gaymer grip shit things on the back.

I'm mad I can't buy an xbone controller nowadays.

I got an SN30 Pro 2 right about the time the first revision of the ultimate controller came out.
My experience was false diagonals and some laggy/buggy gyro. Latency wise was fine but it wasn't impressive otherwise.
Has this fixed any of that? Is the d-pad any better? Is gyro as good as the dualsense's now? Can gyro be used on Steam without issues?

>dual analog slop with no back buttons
>wireless monobloc controller
>no motion controls whatsoever
It's shit. The only reason people even think that the Xbox controller is good is because of all of the godawful 7th gen ports that fucked up every single input method.
This controller was obsolete in the 90s and would be basically unusable today if the market hadn't shit itself to death.
>>713903218
Dual analog can only function with aim assist and even then games have massively simplified gameplay just to make them more palatable when playing with just dual analog.

Okay anon do tell me how does it work with Steam input. I've heard that getting all the functions (analog triggers, the additional four buttons, gyro) to work with steam input is impossible but apparently there has been an update. If all of the functions work well I might order one today.

Analog sticks for character movement and general camera positioning plus Gyro input for precision aim is objectively the best gameplay experience of all time.

Preferable layout
Good tactile even on the triggers
Good build quality
Good vibration
Good grips
Also good size and weight
Not that expensive as well
I prefer + dpad but it's tolerable because good resistance anyway
Not to mention analog stick height is just right, sony and nintendo's analogs tend to be shorter
Good enough battery life
Only thing this thing is missing is hall effect analog, granted you can mod it yourself but it's so close to perfection
Anonymous No.713909910 [Report]
Switch pro 2 would be #1 if it had hall effect/tmr sticks, standardized abxy layout and analog triggers. It trades blows overall with the current Xbox controllers

The switch pro controller is literally better in every aspect, but for some reason Nintendo refuses to add analog triggers. I get why they won't put them on the joy cons but it makes no sense having such a good controller without proper triggers.

Yeah was asking about ultimate 2. As for forums the only thing I could find is that there was an update for it from valve but not much else and it has been like a year ago. Thought I could get some up to date info here.
