I got a folding phone which makes DS-emulating pretty nice. Got a wireless 8bitdo PS2-style controller for anything that needs sticks, not sure about those controllers that the phone sits in.
Non-emulated I like to play craps, I have balatro which is decent.

best advice is to never use potions or scrolls until you cleared the floor you found them on since puzzle rooms always spawn their solutions on the same floor

Based. Have you tried any PvZ2 fan mods? They remove all the IAP cancer, for one thing, and sometimes the other changes are massive enough that it feels like a new game. I'm glad that, like with Pokemon, the fans are continuing the legacy the devs haven't kept up with. Though the base game is still pretty solid.
