The story is very, very dumb. But then again so is story in most RE games and it just build up the retarded storytelling that started from 4 and continued to 5. I think as a company they basically had their backs against the wall with 6. 4 and 5 went more and more into combat and both went into more blockbuster territory as well, so they just amped up everything to the max in 6. I don't think you could have had all the legacy characters in the game and then at the same time go back to slower paced survival horror with lower stakes. It would have not made much sense with how the characters are basically superheroes now.

I think the gameplay is very, very fun when you learn the mechanics. The game doesn't necessarily spell out everything to the player, so lots of people really didn't really get all the nuances and fun the gameplay can offer. It's very enjoyable and fluid when you get the hang of it. I've seen bunch of people play the game without utilizing like half of the mechanics the game offers.

No, fuck you, I played RE6 again after having it played back in 2014 and it's one of the worst videogames ever created

The combat sucks
the controls are horrible (I love it when I vault when I don't want to because contextual action is binded to the same button as jump)
the game keeps removing camera control from me whenever it fucking wants to show me le epic explosion or whatever
there is no fucking "deep melee system" except the 3 hit combo and the headsmash stomp
the dodging is so useless the game doesn't even tell you you can dodge
"Gun Kata" my fucking ass, if by gun kata you mean "quick shots", they're the most useless thing ever added, it's just a waste of a combat gauge bar
Mercenaries was and is a SIDE MODE, I play RE games for the story and horror FIRST, wacky gamemodes LATER, and even then, the controls are so ass, that I don't want to play Merc mode for prolounged ammounts of time
The cross campaign moments are boring and force you to play the same level except this time you play as some other random douchebag
the story is even more retarded than the usual RE b-tier horror flick
the enemy design is beyond boring, the zombies can animation cancel and the J'avo are pushovers that were never any sort of threat to me
The skill system is such a joke

Leon's campaign is vomit inducing and retarded
Chris' campaign is shit after Chapter 3, as you start fighing fucking Black Manta cosplayers

And I was one of them but eventually came to accept RE4 as its own thing. That is until RE5 came along. That game is not even good on its own. It's a walkable rail-shooter with shitty level design and a story that lacks the charm from RE4. Even the co-op mode sucks. The one from RE Outbreak is way better.

This is the only Resident Evil game I didn't like. I hated the floaty movement and the focus on all the stupid melee moves that weren't as good as 4 and 5 and I felt like I was constantly running out of ammo and I hated the aiming of the guns it felt like shit compared to the aiming of the guns in 4 and 5. I liked 1,2,3,Code Veronica,4,5,1 remake, 2 remake, 3 remake, 4 remake, 7, village and the 2 revelations games but i hated 6.

I'm playing RE1 (original) and I'm in the lab. I hope I get the magnum soon because I keep getting ammo for it and I have quite a lot of that in my storage now.
Just encountered these new enemies that crawl on the ceiling.

I kinda loved it because I played the entire game with my friend. Same with RE5 and Dead Space 3. I don't think I would've enjoyed those solo nearly as much as I did with co op

I missed the dingy and cluttered looks of old resident evil. It just feels like 80's-90's horror movie setting instead of a pristine modern city with a couple of burning cars here and there in the remake. It doesn't feels like racoon or even the 90's. It just like another soulless city. Imagine if they remake silent hill but instead of quite foggy small town with old buildings we get a 2016 city with skyscraper and post modern abstract abomination.
