$5000 can go a long way depending on how much of it you want to blow on aesthetics versus hardware. If your collection’s already solid and you're not planning on dropping $2k+ on a new rig or TV, you can absolutely kit out a comfy, functional space. Think soundproofing, decent lighting (get those RGB panels if you're feeling extra), a solid display setup, good seating (you'll be surprised how fast your back gives out in a cheap chair), and storage for your games and systems. Hell, if you DIY some stuff and scour Facebook Marketplace or auctions, you can make it look like a shrine without hemorrhaging cash. Just don’t cheap out on ventilation if you're cramming in multiple consoles. Hotboxes kill faster than RRoD.
