Malk kinda destroys the will to so second run. He is kinda busted with his skills too.

This game does not represent Malkavians well, as it encourages FishMalk and ruined the concept of Malkavians in the eyes of newcomers to the franchise who were introduced to it through this game. In an actual World of Darkness game, a FishMalk would probably get vitoed by the rest of the Players at the table since they tend to ruin games.

Malkavains are the worst choice for a first playthrough. I would recommend Tremere or Bruja for a first playthrough.

Honestly pick whatever you want. Toreador is a solid choice gameplay wise, Tremere is a solid choice from story wise (wasn't crazy about the squishy mage playstyle you're cornered into for the first half of the game)

Malkavian players, no. But Grout is still a decent depiction of them.

Malkavian is fun gameplay wise because of obfuscate. The wacky dialogue is honestly a drawback especially for a first playthrough. But do whatever you want.

Every clan is kino. The only one I'd warn against a first playthrough with is Nosferatu, and that's just because you might be punished for enjoying the ambience of the hub areas if an NPC gets too close.

I, too, am interested in this question. Which clan is for the glass cannon wizards?

Malk is great and arguably the only way to get a true Malk experience is to play it first.

Why can't they just wear a disguise like a mask or a paper bag? That'd make them more tolerable in public at least.

Tremere. They are literally the Vampire Wizards.

Tremere. Don't know why the other anon thinks they're glass cannons though, they get a defensive shield at thaum 3, and auspex actually improves dodge via your wits.

Most Nossies are more than just facially fucked up, and a dude wearing a mask or paper bag in public will still attract attention.

Toreador is good. Pretty standard all around, gives you an even view of the game without gimmicks.

Honestly for a first time player I’d recommend a clan that is well set up to plow through the funnel of combat encounters at the end of the game. Generally that means Tremere for thaumaturgy or Toreador for making the most of the power of late game guns with Auspex and Celerity. Other clans can work just fine of course, but those two naturally guide you to a build that will be very strong at endgame and keep that part from being a slog.

pick whatever you want, if you even remotely end up liking this game you're going to play all the clans anyway.

One of the first disciplines that nosferatus would learn would be one that made them either look inconsipicious if not entirely invisible, but they still would prefer to not be seen in public hence the encouragement to use the sewers in the game, and it just is kind of a flex from the developers that they made all those unique responses from quest NPC's for the nosferatus when it actually really didnt change the game in any major way
