Death Stranding 2 is a better game, but it lost its soul.
DS1 is Kojima vision in pure form. DS2 however, is a game made through market studies, trends, player feedback, the original DS1 but filtered, crafted to please.
DS1 is a game Kojima made for himself.
DS2 is the game Kojima made for others to enjoy.

It has all the same story beats as the previous game while simultaneously recycling all the gameplay, Kojima is a one trick pony.

So are you going to give any examples, side by side comparisons, or any reasons whatsoever to back up what you said or is this purely your ass speaking?

Because very little changes between the games and how they play so pretending kojima pandered to some board of directors just makes it seem like your chasing buzzwords while having fuck all clue what anything you said means.

Just the feel of the game
DS1 was a very contemplative game. It took it's time, it forced you to go slow, to absorb the works. Design choices that existed, not because they worked as concept to provide a fun gaming experience, but to reinforce a theme and a vibe kojima was targeting.
DS2 cuts all the fluff. It cuts straight to the point. It is more fast paced, trips take less longer, Sam can carry more from the start, ways to deal with obstacles directly, like useful guns from the start.
DS2 prioritizes player interest, it sacrifices vision to provide a more easy to digest experience.
It is a better game for that, but the auteur side of kojima, as pretentious it might be, was suppressed.

The ending sequence with the guitars was some of the most embarrassing shit I've ever seen in a video game, Kojumbo has completely lost his mind.

He's always been that way. MGS is packed with jokes that were written for 14 year olds and MGR is essentially a bad shouen anime in video game form.
