This videos shows what companies like Square Enix go through when you criticise them.

this is now a duck thread
>>713924083 (OP)parasocial relations through social media ruined the way people interact on internet and indirectly killed MMO
>>713924083 (OP)TOTALLY OBLITERATED GENRE
>>713924083 (OP)i want duck feet on my face
>>713924083 (OP)too high of a risk for not enough of a potential reward
you can make a gacha for 1/100 the cost of an MMO and you have the potential to make like 100x the money an MMO would make
>>713924083 (OP)please i love duck feet so much
Humanity is more divided than ever, these games revolve around teamwork, camaraderie, and a high school education at most.
Kids today cant even fucking read anymore, get violent at any push, go off at any moment.
>>713924083 (OP)The best type of MMO is one that facilitates social interaction in the form of gameplay and class mechanics that are asymmetrical and non-uniform. Encouraging players relying on other players as well as varied down time activities that are inherently social and cooperative. Most MMOs are just Adult Day Care Centers to give jobless neets little nuggets of dopamine from superficial task completion (simulating work/reward structures but are easy enough to not trigger a neet's aversion to work) though
>>713924083 (OP)This list is incorrect. I remember MapleStory being higher.
>>713924083 (OP)MMOs as a concept died with datamining and moving away from click-to-move and tab-targeting.
I can't wait for Chrono Oddysey to come out so it will be finally over and shit
New World is the best MMO right now
>>713929564>New World is bad in the current year because... IT JUST IS OK AMAZON BAD AND BUGGY RELEASE O ALGOKeep listening to reddit opinions.
>>713931225so the 4channer opinion is to shill for amazon?
Modern gamers are cancer and eat content way too fast. Plus, if you try to emphasize on story and exploration, tryhard cretins get bitchy and moany and tantrum about mechanics/wanting gameplay exploits.
I remember when shit was new and it would take months of my time to experience. Things now are so rinse and repeat, and dataminers have every meta, that you can breeze through something that would otherwise require a group or organic gameplay. Now an MMO dies in a month.
>>713932001and then theres Maplestory where you can play for months just to make no progress and realize you will never ever ever reach that new boss
>>713924083 (OP)where is Dark Age of Camelot
