Call it cinematicslop, call it a moviegame, call it wokeshit, I don't even fucking care. No game has ever instilled such strong emotions and feeling in me and made my jaw drop in sheer awe like Red Dead 2 has.

This is a fucking work of art right here, the likes of which we will never see again for a long, looong time.

I was surprised how little I gave a shit about Arthur dying, hes a fine character I guess but hes so middling and nothing I cant find any passionate response to him dying, it also feels very cheap to invent this kind of Wild West Jesus character who isnt even mentioned in the first game, would have been better to play as Javier or Bill or some shit and give the player something real.
The worldis very cool thoughever, I just wish there was more to actually do that wasnt just shoot man/animal

>Marriage? A sacred institution? Heh, it's anything but in my experience, brother, I can tell you that. If two fellers wanna tie the knot, who am I ta say no? If the Lord ain't judged our gang, I'd say he's been takin' some time off the job, yer probably safe. Heh heh. Have at it, I say.
>Abortion? Well, that's a rough one. Bit of a tough pill to swaller. At first, I didn't rightly take kindly to the idea of killin' babies, but Dutch gave me this ole thick science book and I pretty much surmised that well, that thing is about as human as Micah here, which is lackin' to say the least, heh. Hell, I'd say a gal has the right to choose.
>A gal? As president? Well, what I can tell ya is its been nothin' but fellers since this whole thing here started up and what have we got? A bunch of other dead fellers. What have we got ta lose? I reckon' tryin' a gal's touch wouldn't do anyone no harm. If weakness is a concern of yours, I promise you some of the ladies runnin' in my gang would probably make Old Hickory look like a nancy in comparison. Hell, I'd reckon its her turn.
>Lettin' a black feller do yer wife? Well, if the old lady's havin' fun, who am I to deny her that? I reckon that feller's got a bigger one than me anyway. Besides, we gotta pay some back for that whole slavery bid'ness we did to them. Dutch raised me and I ain't his real son, so I'll raise my wife's son, whether he's black or white.
>Cuttin off yer willie sure sound silly but I reckon a feller might as well chop it off he ain't goin use it. And i suppose a wig can't do harm neither, heck men use to wear em all the time back in them oldin' days.

Low Honor makes more thematic sense and the low honor scenes better reflect Arthur's actions.

I haven't bought this game because I'm waiting for Red Dead Redemption to be on sale for a reasonable price and then I can binge play this entire series.

Common problem with prequels.

Rockstar is a cut above all other video game content. I know the weebs that play borderline pedo H-games here don't want to admit it but it's true.

>mfw it dawned on me that Rockstar was going to repeat the ending structure of RDR1 beat for beat
Great job guys, sure it was a real challenge to think that one up

RDR1's ending was so impactful because it was a complete shock out of nowhere.

Arthur's death is foreshadowed well in advance and it's more about coming to terms with it.

glad you enjoyed it but it bored me to death

RDR2 is at its best when you're just exploring the world and finding all the cool stuff. The main story is unfortunately pretty bland outside of a few memorable missions.

>anon expected: and then the US government left a loose end "hired gun" liability live out the rest of his life in peace?
Maybe as a kid you think "okay he did what they asked, now leave him alone" but anyone over the age of 17 should have seen it coming.

This is a videogame where characters have plot armor and contrivances are made to fit a narrative. Even if you think John may die, the sudden nature of which it occurs is obviously presented to be shocking.

I would have preferred a knock at the door "You John Marston" "yes siree what can I do ya f-"*BANG*. I appreciate the game showing through gameplay (by changing the fucking rules) that John cant shoot himself out of this mess, but if youre gonna cheat you may as well make it a cutscene
