You cannot bootstrap one of these dumb motherfuckers to running code in a year. Maybe not even two. Three, maybe, but at that point it's a waste of effort for something better, and becomes a risk of them leaving for private sector. It might not even be possible, for some of the ones under that average.
This is just the needs of the military shifting in a way that I don't think a lot of people were ready for the reality of. Warm bodies only get you so far, and there is in fact a maximum capacity of busywork you can invent for the crayon eaters without anything productive actually being done, and the kind of knowledge and skillset that's actually necessary to contribute just isn't something you can always just train an idiot to do anymore.
And having seen multiple extremes, whatever going on in the heads of trannies isn't THAT bad, trannies beat the fuck out of the shitshow of the call of duty wave in terms of mental health. They do what they're told, and are above average in terms of professional development. Again, it'd be better if they weren't, but as a package, they're actually pretty decent. You get some real nutjobs, sure, but that's not unique to them. Again, better than the call of duty wave, which had fukkin embarrassing rates of discharge over it.
