It's like shit fan fiction taken to its natural end state where it rapes all the established characters and the OC characters are awful too. I'd recommend not even looking it up for fun, it's fucking insulting that it was ever received well at all. Wish the people behind it killed themselves.

There's a lot of good stuff in the EU, but there is also a lot of really retarded stuff. The bad stuff is like, cartoonishly bad. But the good stuff is generally pretty great. Early New Jedi Order, Rogue/Wraith squadron, "I, Jedi", Galaxy of Fear. I think the Yuuzhan Vong stuff is the tipping point. There's still a decent amount of good stuff there but there's a lot of retarded shit too and post-Vong the quality just sort of falls off a cliff.
