RDR2 spoiled me with the collectables youcold get in that game.

GTA 5 is the worst GTA game by far. It's a genuinely bad game. Even on a technical level, it's inferior to GTA 4 that came out 5 years prior.

Having said that, I'm still going to try GTA, because it's one of the few games that genuinely push the medium forward on a technical level.

I still haven't managed to put 100 hours on V so I'm definitely not getting VI until it's on sale and has good mods. Even then if it's literally just V's physics and ped behavior again I probably won't play it at all. Fighting and exploration is still more fun in SA and IV

Why do normies love these shit games so much? I enjoyed playing San Andreas when I was younger but I quickly grew out of GTA because it's the same formulaic shit every time except now with realistic horse balls and movement inertia or whatever. Just seems boring. Out of all games to hype up and you hype up a game with a dozen other successful iterations of the same formula.
